Be the Lighthouse
As a healer and an empath, I've realized that many of the people who gravitate towards me professionally and personally often come to me in times of darkness, pain, and suffering.
I've been told that part of this is because most people find it easy to talk to me and comfortable to share things they normally wouldn't share with others.
I think the underlying reason this is true is because I'm in tune with my own shadow self and understand that things don't always have to be sunshine and rainbows. I honor people's feelings and meet them where they are during their time of need without immediately trying to fix them.
I know that to truly heal our pain and suffering we must first acknowledge it and feel our way through it, as horrible as it often feels. I'm here to lend a helping hand through that process.
In chatting with friends and clients (and being human myself), it's clear to see that we all have our ups and downs. Our lives ebb and flow. And it's important to observe and embrace the dark times - to honor them for the lessons they're here to teach us.
Without the contrast of good and bad/light and dark we would never fully be able to see and embrace the joy and happiness we feel in other moments because we may not appreciate them for how magnificent they truly are. Those challenging moments are also often the ones that help us evolve and transform in to the people we are meant to be.
A talk I was listening to recently by Tara Brach described our thoughts in relationship to inner weather systems, and I absolutely loved that analogy. We constantly have this flow of energy arising in our minds, shaping our thoughts which ultimately shapes our reality.
When our energy is off, we tend to be stuck in a place of negative thinking and can't see a way out of the deep dark hole that we're in. We may feel like something is wrong but can't pinpoint exactly what it is, especially if we're not regularly checking in with ourselves through meditation or some form of mindfulness practice. We lose that connection to our intuition, our inner guidance system and divine feminine wisdom.
As a healer and Lightworker, my job is not to fix you (because contrary to what you believe, you're not broken) - but rather to help shift your energy back into alignment, and to recognize the tools you already have within yourself to complete this healing. It's my job to shine my light to help you feel less alone and to weather the storm you're going through. I'm here to be the lighthouse.
Stepping into the Lightworker side of myself is still fairly new territory for me. I've offered some Reiki healing sessions sporadically over the last few years but hadn't felt fully capable or confident in my abilities as a healer, until now.
I've come to realize that it's more than ok to start when I'm not the best I'll ever be. With practice I will hone my craft, and it will continue to grow and evolve. I'm not perfect, and I'm (finally) coming to terms with that. It's not perfection that will help me heal myself and others, it's showing up to do the work.
I'm standing here shining, ready and willing to serve you to the best of my ability. And I know that that is enough. To learn more about how I can serve you personally, check out this page on my website.
